To apply for and participate in the Competition you can either enter on line or by visiting Thurrock Learning Shop, 3-17 George Street, Grays, Essex, RM17 6NS. We will need to collect, store and use certain personal information that you disclose to us. The information that we may collect from you includes your name, address, telephone, fax, e-mail and mobile contact details, photos and images of you, details of your college and education status and any criminal record. We may also collect details of your computer’s internet protocol address, which is automatically collected by our web server. Finally, we may receive information about you from third parties (such as our partners and suppliers in the Competition) who are legally entitled to disclose that information to us for the purpose of the Competition
By participating in the competition, you agree that your information may be used by us and our partners and suppliers for any of the following purposes:
Information on your previous criminal convictions is sensitive personal data. We need to use and share this information with our partners in order to ensure you are eligible for a particular prize. We and our partners will only use this information for this purpose .
The information you provide to us will be held by Agency East who have been engaged to collect this on behalf of Thurrock Council, Chief Executive’s Delivery Unit (Regeneration Team). The data will be held electronically and we may need to create a hard copy file for you. Access to the information will be on a strictly need to know basis and we will only share your personal details with our (external) partners in appropriate circumstances. All sharing will be conducted in line with the Council’s Information Sharing and Security protocols and will be conducted securely; to prevent loss or unauthorised access.
